I was up on the Klamath last week for work and saw salmon spawning in the old Copco Lake footprint. The spot they were spawning would have been under 30+ feet of water just a couple of years ago. The Copco valley is going to be something special in the future. It reminds me of the Scott River valley without the extensive degradation from mining and farming.

I heard that they've already counted more redds on the California side then they did all of last year. I also saw CDFW and CalTrout doing tangle netting to capture Chinook to place radio tags in. That's how they detected that first salmon in the Williamson.
