Hello fellow anglers
Had a very rare last minute cancelation on the Trinity River for Sept 23/24. We've been only swinging since mid August but indicator fishing has been producing as well.
My rate on the Trinity is as follows
From Lewiston to Cedar Flat
$650 for up to 2 anglers
Includes lunch and 3rd party shuttle when available
From Hawkins Bar to Mouth
$700 for up to 2 anglers
Includes lunch and 3rd party shuttle when available
Would prefer those interested to pick up both dates.
If interested please text or call me at
530-354-3740
Thanks

The Trinity River is a magical fishery.
A few weeks ago, I called my old friend, Herb Burton, at the Lewiston Fly Shop on the Trinity River.
Sounds like they fish that river almost year-round, weather and flows considered.
I would jump on those dates with Brian and take my grandson, but I am 80 and don't leave Florida anymore.
Floating the Trinity with Brian would be more than just fishing, it would be a timeless adventure.
I learned a lot from fishing with top guides like Brian, and that is another benefit.
Old Joe Shirshac first took me to the Trinity and Klamath Rivers starting in the 1960s.
Being with Joe, who knew both of those rivers well, I had some great days then.
It is time to watch the movie again, "Rivers of a Lost Coast."
I am in it at about 6 minutes in, with a camouflaged hooded sweatshirt on the Trinity River with old Joe.

Thank you for those kind words Bill, greatly appreciated.
Man I would love to have you on my boat. Hopefully one of these days if you ever come back to Cali. But I can totally understand why you wouldnt. My only issue with Florida, no steelhead.
FYI I still have some 88yr old boys walking wading and swinging with me on our Nor Cal Rivers with 2 handed rods. They are usually good for 6-8 runs a day, fish 3 days in a row with me and book 8-9 trips a year. 2-3 during shad season 2-3 during late summer early fall on the trinity and the remainder throughout the year between April and October.
On the trinity sometimes I have them cast from the boat and I walk it down, but 90% of the time it's old school, cast swing steep and repeat. Pretty darn cool. I hope I can say I'm still doing this at 78 let alone 88.
For me when it comes to casting, in particular with 2 handed rods, I'm all about teaching. My guiding philosophy in general is all about teaching, but spey casting and swing even more so as there are so many more intricate details that can make or break or cast and maybe get you a few more extra grabs.
Are you seriously in Rivers of a lost coast 6 mins in? I'm so gonna watch that when I get back up to the T tomorrow. So cool man. Could only image how it was back then
