Drove up to Orleans on Friday morning. Turns out a new fire started up at Dillon Ck. Air quality in Orleans was pretty horrible. So I only fished for 4hrs in the afternoon.

Water was very warm, probably 77 degrees or so. Too warm for fish to be moving up past the Trinity. Lots of loose moss in the flow also which was very annoying.

However...….the clarity was perfectly fine, which is what I was I concerned about the most since the dam removal. Probably a tad less clarity than normal, but pretty close to normal. Flows were good too.

That's about it. Should be good in a few weeks once the water cools down.

Jeff, thanks for posting this.
I've got a Klamath trip planned in Oct. and hope for cooler, clearer water. But maybe the Trinity is a new playground? I just don't know it as well for access or where to find swing water.

That's a good idea Ben- thanks. I have a couple of them and will get a Trinity map.

Cheers!
