I am looking to share a day of fishing on Monday, May 5th with Brian Clemens, one of our local, premier, fly fishing guides. This will be a full day on the Feather River (starting at Gridley) using Brian's jet boat which allows us to fish runs in both the low and high flow portions of the Feather. We will be wading and swinging for steelhead using two handed spey rods (this is NOT an indicator trip from a drift boat).

Please let me know if you are interested.

Man, what a great time. I'd have loved to have gone; Brian's a great dude. You'll get into some fish, for sure, and those Feather River springers are feisty!

Unfortunately I work, and I can't flex the day off. Maybe next time!

I would have been interested but have a commitment for Monday I can not change. Had my best day ever on the Feather a few years ago.

15? years ago, I heard that in the Spring on the Lower Feather River, they had some really good fishing for large resident trout, or

Spring run Steelhead. I mentioned it on the message board, and after a day or so I got a phone call from someone I know who lived in

Oroville. He begged me to never mention that fisheries again.

Later, I found out Hal Janssen fished for those fish in the Spring on normal water years.

Someone needs to go on this trip because I think it is prime time.
