Florida guide, Bill Blanton, wrote a nice article about his trip with outdoor writer and photographer, Dan Blanton to Brazil.

I just found it on Dan's message board.

River Plate Outfitters is the best company to go with for a real experience.

I just noticed the date on your first post of this story was Jan. 2005. No wonder I don't remember Dan talking about it lately.
That is a really good article about peacocks and fishing the Amazon. My buddy Bill Siler talks all the time about going back there and loves the Agua Boa lodge. I'm sure there are other good lodges too.

One thing that popped up was a few old names I haven't heard for a while. Kieth Kaneko and John Waldum. John and I shared a room at the Blue Horizon in Belize a couple of times on one of Mike Costello's trips.

Funny how a name will pop up and lots of old memories about friends and trips come along with it. In the end as we get older, memories are all we have to leave for our friends and loved ones.
