Here in Florida, we have had a slot limit for Snook and it made a huge difference in our populations of this amazing gamefish.

Our Florida Fish and Wildlife Department has had a slot limit of Snook which is One fish per day, between 28" and 32".

They did a multi-year survey/study at the famous Sebastian Inlet and determined that there are about 60,000 Snook within a one-mile

radius of the inlet, every day of the year.

On YouTube, they have many videos on the Sebastian Inlet that connects the Atlantic Ocean to our 150 mile long, Intercoastal

Waterway, with some underwater footage.

Imagine what a slot limit would do for our Pacific Striper population.

In Ca. it is NOT about restoring any fishery......it is about DESTROYING fisheries so they can steal the rest of the water!

100% spot on.

California has had huge corruption about our water for over a century.

No fish, no fisherman.

I've suggested slot limits for stripers for many years here in California, but from another perspective. I've grown up on the Delta watching people who fish for food catch stripers -- and knowing how dangerous their mercury levels are for families. Slot limits would mimic natural processes while allowing subsistence anglers to catch and keep healthier small fish while protecting egg-laying females and allowing for trophy hunters to keep a big'un.
