Ah yes, more "news" coming from people who have no idea what they're talking about. This guy and several others on that "news" site have been playing whataboutism for awhile now.
The heavy metals issue was known prior to removal. Heavy metals bond really well with the clays in the sediment and you have 100 years of sediments in those reservoirs that need to be evacuated. The vast, vast majority of sediments are being transported out of the Klamath and into the ocean. This impact will be very severe for the next several months and will taper off as time goes on. We are already seeing a decrease in the suspended sediment concentrations above Iron Gate. There are USGS gauges measuring suspended sediment, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, and other parameters from Copco down. You can find them on the USGS flow pages.
That being said, the effects of the sediment decreases as you go downstream. Remember "dilution is the solution to pollution". Lets hope we continue to have rain so we can get this crap out of the system faster.

Anybody fishing/catching anything in the Klamath recently?. Should we booked any fishing guides for the next season?

I think most will be fishing the Trinity, Rogue, Umpqua, Grand Ronde, Jon Day and Deschutes Rivers this Fall.
