I can't believe this is actually happening. Such great news to see those pictures.

I wonder if the Klamath will be fishable this fall??? Or will it be muddy due to the construction?

Hooray! I never thought it would happen.

@Jeff F Both Copco dams are both above Iron Gate so, in my opinion, there shouldn't be much of a silt problem until Iron Gate Dam comes out. That dam is slated to come out next year.

Thanks Joe. That's good news. Haven't been there in 3 years due to the stupid COVID shutdown, fires, and last year's slide and muddy water.

How many miles of river will open up after all four dams are removed?

Counting all of the tributaries, the estimate is that about 400 miles of new habitat will open up after the final dam is removed.

I heard the smaller half-pounders spawn up the tributaries?



In my lifetime of fishing, I am very excited to see dams coming down, worldwide now.
