We had wonderful group trips here out of Kiene's Fly Shop........27 years ago.

"Boss Guide" = Beto was one of the best fly fishing guides I was lucky to fish with and he spoke very little English.
He would tell us that we needed to 'sign the fish" before we cast. He meant "see the fish" before you cast.
While we were eating lunch he picked up one of our rods and cast to the Mangroves better than anyone I have seen.
"Sand Flea" = a very young guide, Alejandro Vega Cruz, who was also an English teacher on Isla Holbox.
Today he is a local legend with his own fly fishing lodge on Isla Holbox, Mexico.
