Hi All

Does anyone have one of the nicer plastic stripping baskets for surf/beach fishing for sale? I have a nylon one and it's no good.

I had to bring this topic back from the dead. I was wondering if anyone has used a mesh stripping basket & what kind of experience did they have? Here is an example of one

No personal experience but I would say it is good for walking the banks but would not use it in the surf where the basket may get hit by waves.

I had one similar to this. The rigid hoop at the top flops around a lot since it has such little contact with your waist. Your line tends to get piled in the bottom since it is not flat and not rigid.

Wouldn't recommend it unless you had to have something that could go in a carry on bag. Even then I might just buy a dishpan and a bungee cord when I got to my location.

I also made one out of this and a wading belt once. Actually pretty good.
