I am selling this for a friend.

It is a used Sage XP 790-4. It has been used heavily. The cork has some damage. Not to the point it isn't fishable. It is just used. The rod in my judgement is in moderate condition that is still have many years of fishing left in it. The gentlemen that own this rod has been a client of mine for years. He is in his 80's now and looking to get rid of his rods.

The rod doesn't have a cloth sack or a rod case. He had it stored in a Cabela's 4-piece Cordura fly rod case.

I can ship it in the Cabela's rod case or in a strong shipping box or local pickup.

He is asking $275 or OBO for the rod with $15 shipping.

I have pictures please text or email me for them.

New price

The XP is arguably one of the best rods that Sage ever made. I have the XP 390-2, XP 690-2, and I am still looking for that elusive 590-2.

$275.00/OBO is a bargain price for a 7-weight XP rod.

I have 3 of the 590-2. I fish them at Manzanita Lake and the Fall River. I have to be dead to get rid of them.

It is a great price!!

Many were pissed off when Sage discontinued the XP series.

Naturally, the XP 590-4 was number one in sales but the XP 796-4 was the second most popular.

The XP 796 was huge for Steelheading before Spey arrived in Nor Cal.

**I think Sage made a deal with Cabelas after discontinuing the XP so they could have a run of them, exclusively.
