ABEL and Tibor are the most reliable reels made...you can't beat a cork drag for big nasty fish

The flats guides way out on the Seychelles say that they can fix the old cork drag reels "out at the end of the World" but when a sealed cassette reel fails its done for the week.



Actually, the most dependable reels are the old ones with brass bushing instead of caged ball bearings or caged roller bearings.

This would be the old Seamaster reels, old Billy Pate reels and old Fin Nor reels.



Most saltwater fly fishing experts do not recommend the anti-reverse saltwater fly reels.

As always your right again :) The anti reverse reels are less then 1/2 of 1 % of reel sales.
