That's a really sweet little engine, those things will run forever trouble free, If I was you I would keep it, I think they cost around a grand right now.

Lighter than a lead-acid battery alone.

Pretty quiet.

No mixing of gas and oil.

No smoking.

Good outboard at good price. Internal tank will give you about 1 hr at full throttle. Youtube has several videos on how to connect the Honda 2.3 to an external tank for less than $100- with a 2.5gallon external tank, you could run around 7 hrs at full throttle.
