My son plays baseball at Univ of Michigan and I plan to go there in April to see him play. He has a day off and I was thinking of chasing some great lakes steelhead (or big lake rainbows that run up the rivers...I don't want to get into that argument again). Anybody know a good steelhead fly fishing guide out there? It looks like April is peak run out there and thinking of fishing the Pierre Marquette, Manistee, or Au Sable. Thanks

Sonoman,
You might try contacting the Gates Fishing Lodge;
located east of Grayling on the AuSable. Josh
Greenberg and his cronies could probably
hook you up with a guide.
Phone # is 989-348-8462

If you are not 100% bent on fly fishing, Betts Guide Service will get you on fish. They’re in Newaygo. They might do some fly stuff but mostly center pin.
