Andy Guibord is helping old Joe Shirshac to sell off some of his fly rods.

This 9' #10 line in 3 pc is the first generation of saltwater fly rods for Sage.

17572

$299 is a good price for this rod with original tube and sack.

If interested contact Andy 916/849-1529

I've got two of those first generation SAGE Saltwater models and love them. My 8wt. is the sweetest casting rod I own and use it for everything that swims.

I actually favor them over the RPLXi because of the little extra stiffness they have.

Right on Tony.....

Us 'older dudes' grew up casting fiberglass fly rods that had more flex than some of these newer graphite sticks.

Same. Have a 9 and an 11 that have caught a lot of nice fish.

That’s almost worth getting just because it’s Joe’s! He always catches the big fish, I think he’s held more 30+ lb stripers than anyone I know. You know that sticks got some mojo!

Bill, I'm starting to use my old Fenwick Ferrulites fiberglass fly rods a lot more.

I even took a 9' 10 wt to Baja with me in October. Hooked into a 28 lb Roosterfish and the fight was on. I have photo's of the flexing rod. Almost a 300 degree bend in the rod without breaking.

I trout fish with my Fenwick glass rod which it to FF605 model.

Is the address listed under you page your new FL address. I still owe you for some old Fenwicks. I think I have close to 30 rods in my glass collection, mostly Fenwick a couple browning Silaflex and a Powell 2 tip glass rod.

Hey Bill,

Every time they came out with a newer Sage rod I always bought 3-4 of the them in different sizes , I loved them all, except for the RPLXi which I found to be inferior. I am using the new Saltwater salt HD in a 9 wt for the roosters and it's a canon, just love it.
