Good luck to the three of them. I hope they do a lot of business.
Then on the other hand, I hope someone lead them down the right road into the business part of the business, like keeping good sales records, having the right licenses like Fed ID number, don't think they need a resale number in Oregon since there's no sales tax.

When I started my tying business, I knew very little about IRS, State Franchise Board, Fed ID and quarterly taxes. That was until I got an audit, wasn't pretty.

I 2nd what Jay said...seems everybody with a vice thinks they are a commercial fly tyer....I have to show all my numbers just to buy wholesale.

Very cool. The overall experience of ramping up an online business and learning to deal with pitfalls, etc. will be a great life lesson and something that the three can write about on college application essays in a few years. Enjoy the journey and process. Passion and persistence.

Very cool. I sent them an email offering to donate some materials, i have so much stuff i inherited from an uncle that ill never use.
