The north wind, smoke and cattle were all on the stampede this morning in the Delta. Bass not so much but a few did stampede toward my bug when they saw it popping and diving across the surface. I got one nice one, some smaller ones and lost one in the weeds that could have been big. I think they are all big until I get them to the boat so the lost fish could have been 14" or 20". Only the fish knows at this point. The mystery is enough to bring me back.

I am giving serious thought to putting my boat at a marina. I can't think of anywhere other than the Delta I want to boat fish in the next seven months and I would use it a lot more if I did not have to tow and launch. I am thinking the Pirates Lair might be the place. We'll see.

Nice looking fish, John!
Might bring the G-kids down for some snooping and pestering this w/e.....gotta take them SOMEWHERE!
Pulled a load from Nevada yesterday travelling 50. Nevada SUPER windy and super smoky. That fire by Placerville is pouring much smoke up the canyon, thru Tahoe, and into Yerington. Markleyville burned thru the desert, Placerville is smothering it. ;-)

I think LMB time in FL is Dec through April?

Keeping a boat in the Delta seems like a good idea.

Be nice to have a little old travel trailer down there too.

I think LMB are active April through October.

Oct/Nov/Dec is a popular timing for stripers.
