The revised edition by Terry and Roxanne Wilson was published in 2019. With the exception of the float and fly technique, they cover just about everything you need to know about fly fishing for bass. Highly recommended!

Joe Patterson (Cortland Line Rep) and Wally Westlake (local baseball legend) fly fished for many years together for large mouth bass.

Joe always had a new private farm pond that he was going to because of his connections in the fly fishing world.

Wally use to go to the Oroville Afterbay in a small aluminum boat for some of his favorite fly fishing for bass.

He tied some nice bass flies, one being a small pencil popper and the other was a "Pig Boat", Woolly Bugger with rubber band tail.

Many fly fishers just fish topwater for LMB......

I am a follower of Dave Whitlock, Leo Gutterres and Captain Kevin Doran, only fishing top water bass bugs.

Today in Florida in the Winter/Spring I am able to fish topwater for bass with Steve Potter, formerly of Tracy, California.

Dave Hudson has been fly fishing most all the low elevation reservoirs in the Sacramento Valley for the past 10 years or more.

He uses #3/4 outfits with the fastest full sinking lines he can find with a small #8 black Crystal Bugger of his own twist.

Pete Peterson fished from a bass boat with a 9 weight fly rod with a fast sinking line and streamers for bass in many of the Nor Cal

reservoirs. He was a very serious bass angler.

Today I think there is a rise in interest in fly fishing for bass.......
