Fenwick FF805 is 8' #5 line in 2 piece......our top selling trout rod back in the 1970s.

It comes with the plastic triangular case and cloth sack.

This was the size fly rod many of us used for trout "back in the day."

I am pricing it at $50 but is you drive to my house I will sell it for $25 to a forum member.

Older Fenwick FF85 fiberglass fly rod is 8'6" #7/8/9 line in 2 pieces. era 1960s - It is really a #7 line rod.

In the 1970s it was labeled the FF857 - It comes with the round aluminum rod case and cloth sack.

I am asking $50 but if you drive to my house I will sell it to a forum member for $25.

This was an iconic fly rod used for heavy trout and light steelhead. I had a nice small fighting butt installed on it.

What are the markings on the butt section of that rod?

Can you text me a picture of that reel?

*For dry fly stream fishing these short soft old fiberglass fly rods are fun.

I'm trying to figure out when I can make the drive to Davis. Or it might be worth it to pay the price and have you ship them. When will you be in the area. I plan on doing a couple days of shad fishing when I get back from Baja. Which will be around the end of May. Are you in CA now or FL

There was a 100 hour limit on this, right Bill? Since Jay missed the window, I’ll pick them up tomorrow.

Now you’re just bragging and gloating, Jay!

That will be OK. I can have someone pick them up and I will send you a check. Maybe I'll take a day and wet a line looking for a couple shad. I'll send you a check, what's your address. Let me know when you drop them off.

hwchubb, not bragging or gloating, just fast fingers on the keys this time. I'm usually slow to read posts and even slower to respond.

Today I came across a Browning Siaflex 7 1/2' 5 wt. Remember those.
I get a few people that come into the store (Sportsman's Warehouse) and wanting to know if I would be interested in buying rods and reels. I see a number of Pfugger's in the 1492 and 1494 models. I just bought a 1492 brand new still in the original box.
My wife keeps asking me whet the hell will I do with all this fishing equipment and fly tying materials when you die. Well, you can have it cremated with me or sell it on FB market place.
I'm hoping I have 10 more years in this old body.

Browning 'Silaflex' were a top of the line fiberglass rod back in the day.

I just sold a 7' one piece spinning rod that here in the Sacramento river ~50 years ago was the "Killer" Striper spinning rod for fishing

cut fresh sardine with a sliding weight system. It had a very soft sensitive tip and strong butt.

Another competitor ~50 years ago to the Fenwick Feralite rods was the Berkeley "Parametric" fiberglass fly rod series.

I had an 8 1/2' #6 in 2 piece and a 9'3" #9 in 2 piece. They had the new spigot ferrule system.
