Aloha, I have a trip back to New Orleans planned in August. Does anyone have a direct number to reach Captain Greg Moon? I tried to contact via Shallowwater fly fishing and no response. Thanks for the help.

Don, certainly Greg is at the top of the list for NOLA area redfish guides but there are lots of other guys I know who are very very good. Let me know if you are interested and I can pass on some info.

Sure that would be great. Greg gave me the name of a guy, Dave Best. We plan on staying at Woodland Plantation for a couple of days, but I guess he fishes the Texas side of the river. I grew up fishing the Mississippi side, Biloxi marsh. I might do a day offshore for ahi, but the weather is so iffy down there.
Thanks for the help Steve.

Aloha Don,

Jim and I have fished with Greg for years and another good friend of his is Rocky Thickston. I'd fish with Rocky anytime if Moon wasn't available.

I think he shares the Shallow-water FF Board with Moon as well. Enjoy some of that Cajun cooking when you're there.
