May 21-23, 2021 Delta Largemouth camp out

Since it seems the tourney will be no more, I don't see a reason why we can't do our own camp out gathering.

Weekend prior to memorial is typically the most quiet around here so thinking that time frame will work well.

Windmill Cove Resort & Marina is the venue we will most likely use.

They offer tent, car, and RV camping as well as overnight slips with power.

If it gains tractions from this post I will follow up with more details.

May is Captain Kevin Doran's favorite month in the Delta for top water fly fishing for LMB.


This should be a wonderful outing.....might try to make it myself.


We had a few Delta fishouts through the shop some years back.

Veterans like Kevin Doran, David Lee, Ed Wahl and Jerry Newberger added to the excitement and educational value.


All you need is a V-boat, pontoon, kayak, canoe, stand up paddle board, pram or skiff.

Some of the guys who actually were in sight of the marina did the best as far as fishing was concerned.

Candida and I had a Daughter , Elena .... in the Fall of 2017 . NorCal went so far downhill over the past few years that we moved to far Southern Arizona last July . I do miss having fly shops close by , eating Pho , and seeing a handful of Friends .... but NOTHING could get me to go back !

Should anyone be curious about a Kiene's fishout , they SHOULD go ! Conversation , food , fishing , hijinks , and a lot of laughter make it worth it . I remember the 2006 ? fishout in July - 117 degrees , so good luck sleeping ! I took my Johnboat out and caught a limit of LMB well before dawn . I think KD did a clinic at that one , too ? Always fun , and comradery was usually better than the fishing -
