October has great weather for fishing.....not too hot and not too cold, yet.
Many mid-elevation lakes usually fish well in October as the water cools and trout come into the shallows.
Most medium to larger trout streams that still have water usually fish well in the fall.
This is my favorite month for Fall Steelheading too.
October is the start of the Fall Delta Striper fishing with fresh fish coming in from the ocean and bays.
Try to get a trip or trips planned for October if you can. I can help you as well as many on this Forum.
