We are driving about 2 hours South on Saturday from Sebastian to Fort Laughterdale, then heading West across the famous "Alligator

Alley" / Hwy 75, to Naples, Florida on the Gulf.

We got some advise for fishing down there from Al Bunch at Kiene's Fly Shop.

Al said there are lots of Alligators plus Peacock Bass, Tarpon, Snook, Black Bass and many "Exotics" too.

He said that this is the closest good place from our home in Sebastian for Exotics plus.

We will try to post some photos.....this is mostly a recon trip for future adventures down that way.

Bill,
We did that a couple of times and had a grand hoot. If I remember, April and maybe May was the timing and it seemed a bit early for the "warm" water fish, though we had plenty fun with chiclids and LM's and other stuff on 3wt and 5wt. Tiny #10 surfcandie type bugs are awesome.
Waiting for pics....

March is a good month for LMB and panfish in Florida.......April/May is probably very good too.

Today we just drove Hwy 75 from Fort Lauderdale West to Naples.

Lots of fish eating birds......tons. Many gators too. Lots of boat ramps. Lots of outboard skiffs and air-boats.

We were just sight seeing with some relative from South Dakota so no fishing.

We will drive down there to fish in the next few weeks.
