Get out there and fish it, you never know what you may find.

Do it John !!!!
When I lived in Chico, the Feather (specifically the Low Flow) was my rock stompin' grounds.
Steak n' Eggs (glo-bug and nymph) and Surf n' Turf (alevin and nymph) worked VERY WELL this time of the year.:cool:
Betcha' you'll hook some good feisty ones too !!! :D:D

I believe the traditional Fall Feather river adult Steelheading is Oct/Nov and the Spring fishing for small adults is March/April.
I would guess that Sept through May would all be a good time on the Feather for Steel.
I thought February was Alvin time?
I am going in April with Lance Gray to hopefully catch some of these Spring run fish on my Switch rod.
If I lived near the lower Feather river I would be out there all the time......far better than the Lower American.
All these Valley tail waters can be fished like a big trout stream, even with dry flies at times.

Feather's great, but fewer body parts floating by on the American.
