The Rogue river and Klamath river have had some good SH fishing this Fall.

I have had lots of good feedback from both of these long rivers.

Naturally they were not good every day and in every run but overall it has been a good year.

Sept/Oct/Nov is a good average timing for both of these rivers.

I just came back from the Middle and Upper Rogue and although there are some fish there, it's tough going (for swinging, but we didn't see gear guys doing much better). They're desperate for some rain up there. I'd postpone any trips up there until it happens....

The Klamath however was really fun two weeks ago. There was a good mix of half pounders and adults in the river fishing from Somes Bar up to I-5. I found that using sink tips and bigger flies seemed to help get down to where the adults were, but that might have been just coincidence. Water temps were 52-28 deg depending upon how far down you were.
