Top water with poppers in the AM and PM are to die for.

I feel that July through October is Smallmouth Bass time in moving water in Nor Cal for flyfishers.

The lower Feather, Russian and Sacramento rivers all have a SMB population.

Fly fishing from a skiff is a big advantage on larger rivers and some use kayaks.

Guide Hogan Brown would be a good better north of Sacramento up the Valley.

South down in the Delta in would get out with guide Bryce Tedford.

Smallmouth Bass in moving water is a favorite fresh water species for many fly casters.

I always hear about the lower Snake river too.

The Eastern US and Canada have mucho destinations for SMB.

Spring through Fall are good on our valley rivers and the creeks that feed into them.

Best wade options are on the tributaries that dump into the rivers.

Google map and find some road crossing and get after it.
