We sold hundreds of these Fenwick fiberglass spin/fly combination rods.

They made a better spinning rod than a fly rod.

If there was no F on the label I wouldn’t have known that anyone ever intended this to be a fly rod
Supposed to be ok with a 5 or 6 weight line though
Still a cool little pack rod though. Offers considered

The Fenwick Voyageur SF74-4 was a little longer and the most popular.

Back in the 1960s and 1970s most used 2 piece fiberglass fly rods unless they were back packing.

*Fenwick came out in 1963 with their non-metal Feralite ferrule system making them the number one fishing rod manufacturer.

Back in the 1960s most top anglers bought a Fenwick fly rod with a Pflueger Medalist reel and a Cortland 444 fly line.

Top spin fishers bought the Fenwick spinning rods and put a French Garcia Mitchell reel on it or German DAM Quick Finessa reel.

**In 1954 DuPont invented nylon monofilament line and our solders brought back European spinning reels after WW2.
