Why would the fish be disappearing out in the wilds?

I feel envious... How cool to be living off the grid, in and among nature 24/7.
I feel sad... knowing that our actions as humans is having catastrophic effects on nature.
I feel empathy... as I know what it is like to intimately know a place (American River Parkway) and realize that I am in a very tiny minority of the populace who cares enough and/or who spends enough time in its glory to notice the differences our impacts have made...
I feel hopeful.... because there are still people like you and me and 'The Boss of the Swamp' and because nature is so resilient.

The first series of photos is of bumblebees and honey bees busy in the 'Blazing Stars' (Mentzelia laevicaulis)

The sunrise photo was taken just minutes before Maury Hatch showed up one morning, in his boat, with a client at Paradise Beach...
it was a special morning for fishing and photography :)

These were simple cell-phone photos.
