Hi Everyone,

I have a couple of rods for sale.

How is the axiom compared to the bvk?

The axiom II is a sweet caster like the BVK (ie you can air out a serious amount of line), but has more backbone. I felt that I had a lot of control over the fish with the rod.

What is the typical length of LC or T14 for the #8? 28' or 29' ???

I know it casts a bit more forgiving with the ROS 330gr #8 Type 3, but it's seems just fine with the #9 Type 3 at 392 gr.

I’m throwing 27-28 ft of an old sa integrated line- it was the you cut to size? I don’t know if they even sell it anymore.

Thanks for confirming my thoughts on proper grain weight. I tried 30' of T14, because that is what I had handy, and I had to be more exacting with the overhang length where as at weight between 330 to 392, much more forgiving.

Damn good fly rod.
