This was Bonifacio Galvan's first fly reel........it was in this model only and this size only in black anodize only.

Bonie was a fly fisher who worked in a machine shop and had an idea to build his own fly reel.

He had been getting advise and moral support from Bob Nakagawa at Sierra Angler Fly Shop in Modesto, CA.

Bonie came into our shop 25 years ago for the first time with his fly reel in hand.

Chris Pasley and I both fondled it for a while and felt the smooth drag with it's light infinite adjustment.

He asked us if we wanted to be his first dealer and we said "Yes".



We sold one of those reels to a guy going to the Rio Grande river in New Mexico.

A few weeks later we got a call from the guy who guided our customer.

He ordered two of those reels because they had never seen a fly reel with that good of drag before.
