Gregg sent out an invite to everyone to let them know that the Forum is alive and well.
Maybe we will get some old timers to get active again.
I am approving new members almost daily now.
Without Gregg I would not be able to keep the Forum going.
So glad we can upload photos again too.

I find that this forum has many lurkers but few ever chime in or ad anything of value. These sites are important in that they offer great info and relationship building particularly for our youth and folks getting into FF. May I suggest that you start posting or responding to threads in order to help grow our sport and add substance to a fantastic platform that Gregg & Bill provide.

Typically 5% of the people on the board at any one time are members. It is like five people standing in the middle of a room having a conversation and 95 other people in the room crowding around them listening in. Of the five people in the conversation Bill is usually one of them and does most of the talking. Kind of weird but I guess that is how the internet is.

Thanks Bill! Was wondering what happened.
I think there's an ebb and flow to the number of members/participants which could be due to many things.
Time of year, state of the fisheries, for me it's just a busy time.
I am one of those that have been around since the first bulletin board.
LOL, not sure how long ago that was.
It has certainly grown since.
I remember Darian, Ed W, Jay, and many many others were among the "original members".

Some years ago our extremely talented manager, Alan Barnard started up the first attempt at a Kiene's message board / forum.
Next I think Eugene Graham took over and went to the next level.
Lastly, some years back Gregg Machel got the message board to the next level.
For the past 5 year or so Gregg has been the technical force and helped me transfer it from Kiene's to my own message board.
We have some small future changes but most will be very slight adjustments.
Marilyn and I really miss the customers / friends from the shop but there is a time to retire.
This kind of keeps me connected plus I occasionally go out to the shop on the weekends to visit with Andy and others.

This newest software version was started 1/13/2005 because some old members were transferred on that date.
So far myself and naturally Darian both have a starting date of 1/13/2005 but the forum was started before that.

Our old store manager, Alan Barnard, just said he was guessing that he started the first version in 1992 or 1993?
So our forum is at least 26 years old? Amazing....................

There are dozen who have posted less than a thousand. The list would be very long.
It was fun and interesting to read all the names.....
Some don't post anymore but it would be fun if they did.
Thanks to all who have joined the Forum and thanks to all who have post here too.
