Local Sacramento fly fisher Ray Zechender has taken over the production of the neoprene hip shooter

which is a stripping basket that goes on your hip.

Actually TFO/Mangrove first developed, produced and sold it as the Mangrove Hip-shooter.

Then after Mangrove stopped making them Ray Hutcherson of SeaLevel Product started making an improved version.

After Ray Hutcherson closed Sea Level Products Ray Zechender started making a slightly improved version.

Bill I believe that TFO bought the design directly from Stan Pleskunas (lives in the Montery Bay area). Stan's foam design went through extensive field tests. His design process was outstanding.
