Andy had been going out into the desert looking for some kind of gems.

I heard some years ago a company hired him to prospect for gems?

I will have to check with friends who might know.

Andy Burk was one of the most respected guys in fly fishing in Nor Cal.

We've fished a lot together over the years but when he disappeared into the desert I haven't seen or heard from him & everyone I've talked to has no idea where he is. I'd love to get back in touch with him.
