I have tried numerous times and I can't do it. Is the issue me or the new site?

I don't think you can upload photos directly to the forum (yet). But you can still link to photos through an image account such as Photobucket (and many others)(picture here).

I use Imgur. You need a free account but once you have it figured out it is pretty easy. Upload the photo to Imgur, set the size to huge thumbnail, click on the copy the path button and paste it into your post. Easy peazy lemon squeezy or however that saying goes.

Hopefully in the next week or so Gregg and I can get the uploading to the site fixed.

Thanks Bill. I wanted to post some photos of some of the fish we caught near La Paz with Jay Murakoshi.

Any word yet on uploading photos? I was going to put a few photos up from our recent Baja trip as well.

Upload to a free host like Flickr, hit the forum share button and copy/paste the link. Super easy.

That probably is easy enough with some photo hosts, though not with google photos from what I can tell. Really don’t want to have to create yet more useless online accounts .... uggg. I’m still holding out for the upload function to be sorted out (fingers crossed)

I agree. I am done with online photo hosting sites.

Gents,

A free Flickr account is a great option. You'll end up using it more often than you think.

Sir,

It's easy to download to Flickr, how to you then take those pics and place them on Kiene's site? Thanks in advance

Carl

You first need the URL of the hosted photo (varies depending on hosting site). For example,

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/47948392567_92f339ecc5_b.jpg

Note the last four characters, ".jpg" : this is a JPEG image.

Enclose the URL inside tags, like so

[IMG]https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/47948392567_92f339ecc5_b.jpg

Just Google "bbcode image" for more details; that should tell you everything you need to know.

URL goes between

I think these are the 'image tags'.

Bill, Why don't you just fix it right? Seems it would behoove the BB

If you use Imgur there is a button you can press to copy and paste the photo into your post. The button is right next to the photo. Can’t miss it.

I tried four services and found Imgur worked the best for me.
