How did opening day treat everyone?

What did you do and what did you find?

Forever short on time and patience, I hit a stream that’s open “all year” — Putah. It was a bit crowded but the fish were responsive to both ESN and indi nymphing techniques with tiny midges and perdigons.

Hit a lake in the coastal Mountains. Lots of small 6-10" rainbows and steel head juveniles but nothing of any size. Rumors of some lost biguns, but the inflow was strangely very warm.
