Hi Robert, thanks for your reply. Lamson says they've sold out all of the first-generation 1.5 spools. I have the LS 1.5 in both the Smoke and Guide finishes and it's a mainstay for my trout fishing. At 4 oz, it balances well with many of my 4 and 5 wt rods. It's also a good-looking reel :-)
