Hope this doesn't sound flippant, but, whichever I have in my hand when I'm using it and cheap. No favorite.

I like a forceps with a cutter on it to keep it to one too for most of my fishing.

Boomer Rang nippers. They cut heavy mono, floro, and braid. My Simms blades cracked when I tried cutting 80# Florocarbon at Aitutaki last season. Haven't seen any replacement blades yet

I just watched 3 different reviews about nipper's. It seems the Simms were the worst then Hatch and the Abel's came out number one.. I have Dr Slick pliers for my rigging and $1.00 pair of dollar store toe nail clippers for most everything else, I buy about 3-4 pairs and throw them over board as they get dull. I had Abel stuff before and it works fine at first however the good seemed to fall off way to fast for my taste. Nothing worse then trying to cut or make a new leader when out at sea 30 miles and the dam nippers won't cut.
