Hi,
I work for a non-profit that manages Webber Lake. We have a house we rent by the week on the lakeshore, and are decorating it. I have a cool old Fenwick FF108 that I'm going to put on the wall next to the fire place. Anyone have a non-working big reel of that era that would look nice mounted to the FF108, and would want to part with it?
Thanks!!!

You need a nice large old Pflueger Medalist 1498 or 1496 or 1496 1/2 or 1495 1/2 fly reel.

A large old Hardy 3 7/8" fly reel would be really nice.

I just looked and don't have anything that large anymore.

If its just for decoration, I have a bakelite single action reel that would look pretty good on it. More of a mooching reel like a Peetz but looks like a fly reel.

Let me know if you want me to text you a pic.

Could meet you up around Alta if timing right or Auburn if you want it.

Thanks Russell!
I would love that. Any chance I can delay coming down for a little while ?
Thanks again,
John

John, if you’re still looking I might have some. I need to dig through my storage bins and take a look.

Hi guys,
I have a reel now that fits the bill, it I appreciate your offer to have a look-see. That said if you have an old reel sitting all lonely in a bin that would rather be on a fire place mantle in the cabin, I’ll take it! I think the mantle is going to turn into an old reeldisplay- that might be cool! I have some old Perrine fly boxes to display as well.
Thanks again!
