My "windows of opportunity" to fish Pyramid are a bit limited now, so yesterday I was able to make the trek to Pyramid despite the "Blue Bird Day" AND the full moon.

I fished @ Wino from 7:30 till 5:00 (that's all I could take).

Went 2 for 6 landing a couple of "Rats".

My first fish came at 11:45 and last fish at 4:30 with take downs/LDR's in between.......afternoon bite...........

Others (only two guys) left by noon claiming "a couple of bumps" while stripping buggers and beetles.

I fished balanced minnows in chartreuse/white and peacock/white colors hoping for the "chub bite".
I never saw any bait balls being busted by the fish.......maybe that's over now.............

It was nice to get out and huck "bobbers and meat" with the switch rod again........ I know, I know, not everyone's "cup of tea". :D

About 40 years ago I went on the annual CFFU Pyramid Lake weekend outing with Joe Shirshac.

We checked in and got our fishing permit from the local Native Americans.

While in the big office trailer I spotted an old Indian sitting in a chair.

I walked over and said Hello then asked him how the fishing had been.

With a big hand gesture he said "Big moon, no fish".

We parked his travel trailer on the beach south of Sutcliffes.

We fished Saturday and Sunday with terrible results.

**That is one of my two pretty convincing stories about the Full Moon thing.
