Was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for where to stay in Reading went fishing the lower sac? Looking for something reasonably comfortable and hopefully not in a shopping mall…

Thanks
Jim

I normally stay at Oxford Suites. Nice comfortable rooms, quiet, free breakfast, and not too pricey. Holiday Inn Express isn't bad either.

Sheraton by the Turtle Bay Exploration park is nice, but pricey at times.

Super 8 at the Churn Creek exit off 5 works fine for me...matter of fact I've done well at Super 8's throughout the West.

When I don't have dogs (which need a pet friendly hotel) I alway do Name Your Price on Priceline

The Gaia has the most comfortable beds in the Redding area, a little pricier than some but worth it.

+1 for the Super 8 on Churn Creek...lower cost and easy parking for a rig with a driftboat & trailer.

We have an AirBnB rental house on our property between Red Bluff and Cottonwood about 1 mile from the Bend Bridge boat ramp on the Lower Sac. Its about 25 miles south of Redding but it is quiet and secure here. http://www.horseshoebendwaystation.com

If you book through AC fly-fishing you get a significant discount at the Sheraton at Turtle Bay. Literally 1/4 mile from the launch ramp.

I recommend it. I wish I could go there but I just need to find affordable hunting rifle scopes (https://www.atncorp.com/smart-hd-weapon-sight) that will be worth the money together with quality fishing rods...
