The weather is cooling off but not really cold yet.
November can be good too.
Trout fishing in our mid-elevation streams and lakes is usually very good.
Stripers return to the Delta in Oct/Nov/Dec then the water just gets too cold for many.
Steelhead are in all the long rivers now with Oct/Nov being the prime months.
Salmon are in many long rivers now too. They will be in the shorter coastal rivers in November.
Oct/Nov is a good time for tropical salt water trips too.
