Hello everyone,

First post on the forums, been visiting for a while and finally decided to register.

I'm looking for a couple Fisher glass fly rod blanks. Specifically a 3/4 weight and a heavier one like a 7/8 weight if he made one that heavy.

I would also be interested in factory rods in excellent condition if nobody has any blanks for sale.

I'm looking for these to compliment my short 5'10 3 weight and 8'6" 5/6 weight that I have.

If anybody has any that they would like to sell please let me know.

Thanks!

Hi,
Yes, I have 3 J Kennedy Fisher blanks that belonged to my late husband that I am willing to part with. All are 2-piece blanks. 2 are marked 2037 & are 8-feet, the other is marked 2061 & is 9-feet. If any of them interest you I can see what else I can find out about them. An old friend & expert fly fisherman looked at them a week or so ago & said they were great condition. He was impressed by them, thinking they were worth $100 & upwards each. Let me know!
Thanks.

Do you know what line weights those numbers designate?

About 20 years ago? someone locally bought the Fisher Rod Company, it's equipment and many blanks.

Not sure if they ever did anything with it?

Not yet, I'm still trying to find that info. There are charts with the weights for their salt water blanks on line, but I haven't yet seen anything else. As per the label, these were made in the Carson City, NV shop. Will post more info if/when I find it.
