Sept/Oct/Nov is the timing when you an go out in the long rivers and catch Steelhead with a floating line swinging classic wet flies in the AM and PM.
The Lower Klamath and Lower Rogue Rivers have Half-pounders and small adult Steelhead right now.
The Lower Klamath is best with a jet boat but you can drive, walk and wade the lower Rogue River.
Friends were just on the lower Klamath with a good jet boat guide and caught lots of Half-pounders and some adults to 6#.
Al Perryman said the Lower Rogue is having a good run of Half-pounders in the lower river.
Al said middle Rogue is a little high but is producing some nice Summer runs 6 to 10#.
