Nice surprise while checking on the wildflowers

Took a little hike up below Three Finger Jack to check on the wildflowers. Then we did the hard yakka to climb the moraine and glad we did. Saw this nice mountain goat ram on our side of the cirque, plus a ewe and kid on the other side and a couple others way up at the base of the cliff. First time I've been able to see them up there.

Big score!

I had one near my camp in Washington a couple of years ago. Magnificent animal. The high point of that day was the sun finally coming out after being locked in the fog for two days but the goat was a close second.
