Anyone have insight on Stampede or Prosser for smallmouth in August.
Any input would be appreciated.
I will be in the area for a family gathering and am anticipating dog day related slowness for trout.
Thanks

Trout will still be doable......just not on a dry so much..(Maybe a Calibeatis hatch at dawn)...industrial nymphing will do it.
Bass will be deep as well. Think trolling........
I like using my 8wt with a 300gr. sinking line.
The face of a dam is worth a try.
Inlets too.

Thanks Jim!
I will probably dredge the Truckee with my Euro rig. I'll give the smallies a shot as well.

The river water is very clear, and the fish are pressured........working close is a challenge right now.
I recommend a big stick......my 6wt switch is the tool of choice.
River is warm near town..63-4 deg....and slowing mid-day.
Take a headlight.
