With a heavy heart, I must report that
my fishing buddy Peter Niebauer passed away early this morning from multiple complications. I had just talked with Pete last week so this is a bit of a shock, no dry eyes here, that's for sure. Pete was one of the most giving and nice men I've ever met in my life, his love for wildlife, trout, and fly fishing was second to none. For those that knew Pete, think of the good times, and always make a few casts in his honor. Love you Pete, I miss you already...

Feather River Sam was Pete's first Golden, a female named Sammie. His current Golden Woody is being taken care of by his brother. - J.
