So this return is significantly larger than any the hatchery has had before? After some thinking, might these fish be the fish that didnt show up on the American this year? I wonder if there was an issue with the inprinting of the juvenile fish planted in the American, and they just went back to their hatchery?

Those Coleman fish were a hoot to catch...great fighters, and thick fish.
I was hoping they would came back last year as well.
Last Fall it was epic fishing for these steelhead, they would readily take a swung fly. The best day I had was three fish in about two hours but I had a buddy that got 7 one morning. All the fish were between 18 to 22 inches. although I got one tiny guy about 12 inches.
