We started fishing with him about 20 years ago in Isla Blanca lagoon, north of Cancun.
He was a school teacher then on the tiny island of Holbox and worked for Carlos Vega of Aquarius Fishing on Cozumel.
An American fly fishing travel veteran, Bill Marts, helped him start his own fly fishing guide business on Isla Holbox, Mexico.
He is a friend to many because he has introduced them to fly fishing for Tarpon.
