I fished Utah lake when I was a kid. They talk about getting rid of the carp, what about the white bass, suckers they are just as bad.
You say white bass aren't destructive. Then why is Nacimiento lake the only lake in California to have white bass. Years ago they were in Lake Success but were killed off because they thought if they got into the main water ways they would destroy the salmon, trout, steelhead in all the rivers.
They should have a fly fishing tournament to help eliminate some of the carp. Sounds like I need to visit my short childhood stomping grounds. I lived there a few short years.
