After surviving "the flu" that our grandson was so kind to share with us............I did a half day'er at Pyramid.
I was on the water at noon till dark @ Wino.
I chatted with one of the other anglers while suiting up and his "morning report" was that his group (four of them) didn't have ANY strikes/takes stripping/indicator and three spin fishermen got nothing either.
I landed one slot fish (snow cone midge) and missed another strike.
Nothing on a balanced leech (midnight cowboy,red,black,white,gray,olive).
I guess I was lucky to have a couple of exciting moments................................
Interestingly enough, just like my last trip, it seems that when the sun is on the water and the wind isn't howling, the fish seem to be a little more "hungry".
Hummm..........maybe I'll wait for the next sunny calm day to try it again.
Also, has anyone noticed the LACK of reports from the guides this year regarding Pyramid ??
Seems like in the past, reports were flooding in from everywhere.
Was there a "shake-up" or Hatfield/McCoy event that happened ???
